Lissa and I went back to Dayton Children’s on Tuesday. Our appointment was at 8:00am, and she wasn’t allowed to eat anything first, because they needed to check her bone marrow again, and that involves sedation. Unfortunately their intitial blood tests showed that her platelet count was too low for them to be able to do their procedure, so she had to wait for a delivery from the blood bank. She ended up not being able to eat or drink anything until 3:30. Poor kid.
Fortunately her tests showed that she has been responding very well to her treatment so far.
Since then she’s been very tired and hungry (one of her meds increases appetite) but otherwise her usual self.
Our next appointment is on Wednesday, and should only last a couple hours.
