I spent all of yesterday and most of the two days before dozing.
As usual on my dozy days, I spent most of that not-quite-all-the-way-awake time running bits of stories through my head. I spent quite a bit of time on Black Flag two, skipped over to Scent of Spring for a while, and then back to Black Flag three. During that time I got a little more background on Turner — now I know about the first time he killed someone — and there was also more scene stuff from the middle of his story which I really can't see putting into a graphic novel. (Talking! More people standing around talking. What is with that story? It ought to be a book. It won't let itself be a book. It won't match with the rest of the series if its a book. Somehow, somewhere, I'm going to have to find some more visual material for the middle part of that story.) I also ran some coming-up-next bits in Dicing With Flames. (Some really good images there, oh the irony!)
Then last night I somehow arrived back in Black Flag conjuring up some bits about Lock that I will not, will not use in any story. He's a nice guy. I like him. Why can't I find him a mate, a match, a partner? Why can I only come up with yet more examples of women making his life difficult?
