Lioness

This lioness motif was one of the earliest designs I started working on, but it took me over a year to complete it to my satisfaction. The reason I wanted a Lioness motif, is because I was writing a fantasy book, titled "Lioness" in which the heroine made what she calls "knotwork lace" —but which in our world is more commonly known as tatting. This was actually the reason I started tatting in the first place — as research for that book.

Requires:
• Two shuttles
• Two colors of thread (pictured example uses size 20.)
