There’s nothing like recording yourself and then playing it back for making you feel like you have no musical skill, can’t sing a lick, and have the ugliest sounding instrument in the world. And, um, the next time I decide to do something like this, I hope I’ll have enough sense to not do it when I’m still recovering from a cold/flu thingy. :PI’m going to be brave and post links to the files anyway.
Me singing Silver’s Theme. MIDI of Silver’s theme.
Me playing the soprano and alto lines of the hymn “Master, the Tempest is Raging” on my concertina.
Me attempting to play and sing at the same time, and wishing I hadn’t transposed Godzilla Polka upward in order to get it into a key my daughter could play on her violin.
The background wasn’t as quiet as I would have liked — I ended up going and getting my younger son from school today because he wasn’t feeling well, and then didn’t have the heart to kick him out of the room while making the files. But I noticed the background noise more after I had converted the aiffs to mp3s. Is that something to do with the compression method making them stand out, or just me suddenly paying more attention?
